The Project
Where Water Defies Gravity
House of Dancing Water is one of the most technically sophisticated resident productions ever staged. Performed within a purpose-built theatre at City of Dreams, Macau, the show is anchored by a 3.7-million-gallon pool that transforms from deep-water dive environment to fully dry stage within moments. Its operation demands precision engineering as much as artistic vision.
The production exists at the intersection of extreme performance and complex infrastructure. High-platform divers, aerial artists, acrobats, and motorcycle riders perform within a constantly shifting environment of water, automation, SFX, hydraulics, and moving architecture. Every cue depends on tightly integrated technical systems functioning in absolute synchronization.
Few productions in the world combine this level of aquatic engineering, automation, and live performance at scale. Remounting it required more than restaging choreography. It required rebuilding an ecosystem.
OLC was engaged to lead the complete remount of this landmark production, restoring not only its visual spectacle but its operational integrity. Our team oversaw creative reassembly, global casting, technical recommissioning, rehearsal strategy, and cross-departmental integration, guiding the production from redevelopment through opening and into sustained performance operations.
