Where the streets become the stage.

Running in parallel with the aquatic, aerial and architectural spectacle at Burj Lake, OLC conceived, designed and delivered a 300-plus-metre-long live parade within the same four-month production window. Featuring more than 250 performers integrated into three monumental Carnival-style custom-built floats and over 100 handcrafted props and large-scale puppets, the parade transformed Downtown Dubai's Boulevard into a kinetic, narrative-driven performance environment at street level.

The Project

Three Floats, Three Worlds

Each of the three monumental floats was not a static parade vehicle but a fully programmed performance environment combining live action, choreography and large-scale scenography. Exceeding 20 metres in length, 7 metres in width and 9 metres in height, they were among the largest mobile performance structures ever deployed in a live urban parade.

Desert Dreamscape was divided into four sculptural dune sections animated by BMX athletes riding the structures. Adding an extraordinary layer of complexity, live falcons flew from one end of the float to the other, passing above performers and audience alike.

Oasis of the Deep took the form of a giant ship, hosting a dense sequence of live performances including acrobatic poles, hand-balancing acts, dancers and ensemble choreography, transforming the float into a constantly evolving kinetic stage.

The City of Light represented the changing architecture of a modern metropolis. This vertical, urban float featured parkour athletes, trampoline performers, strap artists and bungee performers, expressing the rhythm, tension and upward momentum of a city in perpetual transformation.
