Our Legacy Creations recently had the opportunity to participate in the HKAPA PerformTech Symposium: Staging the Future of Performing Arts, a global gathering that unites students, artists, educators, and professionals in a dynamic exploration of the evolving landscape of the performing arts.
OLC Executive Producer Anna Robb joined forces with Jerome De Baecque from Moment Factory to explore the pivotal role of technology in scenography.
Their presentation delved into five key categories that illustrate how technology has huge potential to enhance the performing arts:
- AESTHETIC – Enhancing the visual landscape
- SUPPORTED – Enriching the narrative through tech
- DEPENDENT – Stories that rely entirely on technology.
- EXPERIENCE – Shaping the audience’s journey.
- FOCUS – Making technology the centerpiece of the story.
Through engaging case studies, Anna and Jerome demonstrated the innovative applications of these concepts and their transformative impact on performance art.
“Technology fundamentally transforms scenography by enabling us to craft immersive experiences that engage audiences on multiple dimensions. It’s important to Our Legacy Creations that we are always looking towards the future to enrich storytelling and foster a collaborative dialogue between artistic expression and innovative advancements,” says Our Legacy Creations Executive Producer Anna Robb.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this vital discussion about the future of our industry! We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of creativity together!
